UM Learning Journey Task 3

This task says to write the different meanings for the words Bat, and Bark. It asked if we could name anymore homonyms. Homonyms are words that sound the same but mean different things.

The different meanings for bat are:
  1. A baseball bat
  2. A flying animal
The different meanings for bark are:
  1. A dog barks
  2. Tree Bark
Other words I can think of are:
  1. Right
  2. Bolt
  3. Lie
  4. Band
  5. Way/Weigh
  6. Wave
  7. Need

    Looks like you understand what a Homonym is! If you were trying to learn English do you think this would be a hard thing to understand? How do you know which meaning is being used?

      Thanks for your comment. I do think it would be hard to understand if you were learning English unless you has a good tutor to help you.
