Dogs on the Beach - Test Writing

Last week my class took our writing tests. We got given an image and had to write a description about the scene. We had to put our writing on a google drawing, add a picture, and make it look pretty.

My Slime Profile

A few Fridays ago we made slime in school. The year 6's split into different groups to make different slime. I got the Chia Seed Slime and I think it wasn't the best. Here is my post:

Chia Seed Slime
In the Chia Seed Slime we used Chia Seeds, Corn Starch, and Water.

To make the Chia Seed Slime we had to mix Chia Seeds with Water and let it set for 12 - 36 hours (Mrs J did at home). Then we had to add the cornstarch and mix it together. After a few mixes we had to start kneading the slime.


I was the photographer so I didn’t touch the slime that much but I still felt it. The slime was gooey and felt weird from the seeds. It was thick but sticky. It stank like old playdough. I wouldn’t play with it that much if I owned it.
 
The problems with our slime was that it really stank and it was too sticky.

 I think we could add activator or maybe a bit of shaving cream to make it smoother or less sticky.

I learnt that I shouldn’t try the chia seed slime recipe in my slime recipe book at home because it makes a huge mess.

I rate this slime a 3 out of five because it was nowhere near my expectation level but I still love all slime!

UM Learning Journey Task 6

This task is to create a new animal by merging 2 animals together.

I chose the head of a reindeer:

I think it will be stronger in the wild now because it has horns to protect itself, and be very fast to escape, and it will hunt easily because it is now deadly, with sharp teeth and pointy claws.

This task says to write the different meanings for the words Bat, and Bark. It asked if we could name anymore homonyms. Homonyms are words that sound the same but mean different things.

UM Learning Journey Task 2

 Task 2. We Have to answer this question:
Would you rather have fur like a chinchilla or quills like a porcupine?

so I could protect myself when needed.

UM Learning Journey Task 1

Can he save her, Conclusion
